The Daryl McKenzie Jazz Orchestra (DMJO) has been performing for over 30 years. They have had a monthly residency at “The Apartment” for the past 15 years. Originally known as the Graeme Lyall Orchestra under Graeme’s leadership, the band was then rebranded as the Australian Showband. In 2002 Daryl McKenzie took over the Australian Showband which now features some of Australia’s top studio and jazz musicians. The band toured internationally to the USA and Malaysia, performed to large concert audiences in Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, Sydney, Gold Coast, Ayers Rock and at major events and jazz festivals. The DMJO have released four CD's including “It’s About Time” (2008), “Scallywag” (2010) and “Slammin Joe’s” (2011) and “Return Journey” (2014).
